Coaching & Recovery for High-Conflict Relationships and Long-Term Stress

Support, structure, and education for people living with or healing from high-conflict relationships, narcissistic behavior, bipolar dynamics, coercive control, and long-term emotional wear and tear.

How this works

How Coaching & Recovery Works Here

You don’t have to untangle your entire life in one session. We focus on small, steady steps: understanding what’s happening, stabilizing your nervous system, and building practical tools.

1

Name What’s Really Going On

We put language to the behavior you’ve been experiencing—narcissistic tactics, bipolar escalations, coercive control—so you can see the pattern instead of blaming yourself.

2

Stabilize & Protect Yourself

We work on grounding, safety, and simple daily practices that calm your system and keep you centered— so you’re not reacting from panic or exhaustion.

3

Build Your Next Chapter

We focus on boundaries, communication, planning, and decisions—whether that’s staying with new rules, preparing to leave, or rebuilding after you’ve already left.

Narcissism & high conflict

Navigating Narcissism & High-Conflict Behavior

Narcissistic or high-conflict behavior is not just “normal arguing.” It’s a pattern designed (consciously or unconsciously) to keep you off balance, questioning yourself, and focused on putting out fires instead of living your life.

Understanding the Tactics

We walk through common patterns like gaslighting, projection, blame-shifting, silent treatment, love-bombing, and smear campaigns—and how they show up in real life.

What you’ll learn:

  • How to recognize the tactics in real time.
  • How to stop internalizing every accusation as your fault.
  • How these patterns hook you into defending and explaining yourself.

Protecting Your Sanity

You may not be able to change the other person—but you can absolutely change your responses, your boundaries, and how much of your mental space they occupy.

  • “No more surprise fights” strategies.
  • How to avoid taking the bait when they try to provoke you.
  • Ways to document behavior if you’re also in a legal process.

Deciding When to Stay, When to Leave

There is no one right answer for everyone. We don’t pressure you either way. We help you see your options more clearly and understand the emotional, practical, and safety implications of each choice.

  • Questions to ask yourself before making big moves.
  • How to plan quietly if you’re considering leaving.
  • How to stay with new boundaries if leaving isn’t possible yet.
PTSD & coercive control

PTSD & Coercive Control Recovery

Long-term psychological and emotional abuse doesn’t just “hurt your feelings.” It rewires how you think, how you react, and how safe you feel in your own body. Many people don’t realize how deeply they’ve been affected until things calm down and the crash hits.

Making Sense of What Happened

We help you map what you’ve been through in a way that doesn’t minimize it, doesn’t dramatize it, and doesn’t blame you for surviving the only way you knew how.

  • Understanding coercive control as a pattern, not a single event.
  • Normal reactions to abnormal situations.
  • Why you might feel guilty, numb, or confused even after leaving.

Stabilizing Your Nervous System

You can’t heal if your body is stuck in constant fight, flight, or freeze. We focus on practical tools you can actually use in real life—not perfection or complicated routines.

  • Grounding techniques for when you feel triggered.
  • Small daily practices to rebuild a sense of safety.
  • How to respond when flashbacks or panic show up.

Reclaiming Your Identity

Over time, coercive control can shrink your world until you don’t recognize yourself anymore. Recovery includes rebuilding your voice, your choices, and your sense of who you are apart from their version of you.

  • Exploring who you were before the chaos—and who you want to be now.
  • Rebuilding self-worth after years of criticism or dismissal.
  • Creating a life that isn’t built around managing someone else’s moods.
Skills & support

Communication, Boundaries & Coaching Support

Sometimes the hardest part isn’t understanding what’s happening—it’s figuring out what to say and do in the moment. That’s where skill-building and coaching come in.

Boundary & Communication Skills

Learn how to say less, hold your ground, and stop explaining yourself to people who are committed to misunderstanding you.

  • Simple boundary scripts you can adapt to your situation.
  • When to respond, when not to respond, and how.
  • Protecting your energy when you can’t fully cut contact.

Questions

Coaching & Recovery – Frequently Asked Questions

Is this therapy?

No. Coaching is not a substitute for therapy, diagnosis, or medical treatment. We focus on education, structure, communication, and practical tools for navigating high-conflict situations and recovering from them. Many people work with both a therapist and a coach.

Can you tell me whether I should stay or leave?

We don’t make that decision for you. We help you see the patterns more clearly, understand your options, and think through safety, logistics, and emotional impact so you can decide what is right for you.

What if my situation also involves court or a divorce?

We can support you emotionally and practically while you move through the legal process—and when appropriate, connect you to our DIY Divorce and Mediation resources. We do not provide legal advice or represent you in court.

Can you talk to my partner or family member?

In some situations, we may offer joint conversations or mediation-style support—but only when it is safe and appropriate. Many people use coaching as their own private space to think clearly and prepare for hard conversations.
